Everything Is Under Control

Everything is Under Control

Light carriage mechanism detail

“[This exhibition] explores the wide field predictability and uncertainty, the instability and relative balances of systems and the processes which unfold in them.”
Susanne Jaschko and Lucas Evers, curators.

Everything Is Under Control is a prototype originally built for the Process As Paradigm workshop at LABoral. A light beam moves over the soil in a seemingly random fashion. Only over time the grass will grow in to a pattern, eventually revealing the message. How readable the message will be however is uncertain. This ongoing process is a silent dialogue between natural emergence and mechanical control. Designed in collaboration with Cathrine Kramer. Developed with Daniel Artamendi and Raquel Gallego de Lorenzo.
